The Program Conflicts screen will help you manage and identify potential conflicts in your program schedule. A conflict is when a person is supposed to be in two sessions that overlap in time.
Once potential conflicts are identified, they will appear in a list for your review, allowing you to either make scheduling changes, or acknowledge the potential conflict, indicating that arrangements have been made to adapt to this potential conflict.
Scenarios that are not considered conflicts:
- when a Session Chair role is also a Presenter within the same session.

Recent Updates: Program Tracks are now displayed over submission tracks (if they are available)
Getting to the Program Conflicts Screen

NOTE: This will display all potential conflicts within the program
Adjusting the Conflict Checker Settings
Included Roles
By default, the system only looks at Session Chairs and Presenters. You may include Co-Authors by toggling "Include all authors in the conflicts".
Grace Period
Another default, the system looks at session conflicts that directly overlap. You can also indicate a "Grace Period" which is additional time on either side of a session that is needed (for setup or travel, for example). The conflict checker will add this travel time when checking for conflicts. Simply input the number of minutes you would like in Grace Period.
Omitted Session Types
If there are session types that you would like omitted from the conflict checker, select them where it says "Select Session Types"
Managing and Acknowledging Conflicts
Once a conflict is identified, it will appear in the area below indicating the sessions, and potentially the presentations that they are part of. If it's a conflict that needs to be changed, you can manage one of the sessions accordingly. If, however, it's not a "real" conflict (because of changes you'll make onsite, or some other consideration not easily tracked in the system), you can acknowledge the conflict. Acknowledging a conflict removes it from the screen.
Acknowledged conflicts can be viewed separately later by clicking on the blue button in the top right of the screen
