How to Create a Session?

  1. Click Dashboard
  2. Click Speaker Module
  3. Click Program button
  4. Click Sessions in horizontal menu
  5. Select Create Session
  6. Session Title: Enter a session a title (This is required).
  7. Session Type: Select from the dropdown list
  8. Program Track: Select from the dropdown list if you wish to associate the session to a specific track
  9. Submission Track: Select from the dropdown list. Submission Tracks are only used for the Chair Module - to associate a session with a specific track to give that track chair special access to this session.
  10. Description: Information entered here will be carried through to the public facing program (online, mobile app, or printed).
  11. Click Create Session button

Optional Fields
  1. Internal Session Notes: Add session notes for internal purposes only, will not be public facing in the program.
  2. Evaluation Form: If using X-CD for the Evaluation Forms, select the corresponding form.
  3. Hide on Public Program: If checked, this session will not be visible in the public program.
  4. Ticketed Event: Used in other modules. Leave blank if unsure.
  5. Hide On-Demand Content Until Session Over: If this session has pre-recorded videos or posters and is being live streamed - tick this box to not show the content until after the live session is over. The content will appear 30 minutes after the session is done. For Virtual Conferences.
  6. Virtual App Polling: Enable polling option for this session within the virtual app
  7. Reg. Options For Access: Select Attendee Registration Categories that give access to this session (available when updating a session). Program settings must be configured correctly to work. 
  8. External Code For Access: Used to connect other modules to this session. Leave blank if unsure.
  9. Feature Banner Image: Adds a banner image to the public program and virtual conference platform. Will supersede horizontal banner ads if they are set to rotate on session screens from the virtual conference app settings.
  10. Feature Image Link: Link for the image added above - if applicable.
  11. External Meeting Link: Used in virtual platform if the session attendees are to be directed to another platform. Link unlocks with the platform 15 minutes before scheduled session time.
