Managing your profile home page can be a bit cumbersome with everything else you have to do, especially if you are running many events in X-CD every year. If you are running many events, and are looking for a way to reduce the amount of time spent managing the profile home, Smart Event Lists might be ideal.
What are they?
Smart Event Lists are screens linked from the profile home page, which can show a set of events based on the type, timing, or the user's registration status. For each event, various links/features can be added. Registration links, the conference website or public program, even the speaker portal or virtual platform can automatically be added accordingly.
Example: A list called "Upcoming Events" which shows two future events.
How to Setup
1. Go to Profile Home Management and Add New Link.
2. Instead of Text Only or Link, select Smart Event List
3. Adjust the event filters accordingly:
- Timing: Future, Past, All
- Registration Status: User Complete, User Has Payments, User Has Invoice, All
- Conference Type: As defined by your conference settings.
4. Adjust the feature/links accordingly. This determines what links are available on a per-event basis. See the descriptions under each feature to learn more about additional restrictions.
Once it's updated, it should appear underneath the contact panel on the left side of your screen.
