Mobile App Artwork

Overview

All images must have a solid background color - no gradients or transparency.
All images must be PNG format and be 72 dpi.
All images must have a few pixels of padding to prevent anything from being cut-off when Apple or Google use the images in their own systems.

Please download the samples to ensure all required images are supplied in the proper formats.
The App is required to have App Artwork prior to submission to the stores. The artwork encompasses:

Required images (3-4 images): 

  1. App Icon - 1024 x 1024 pixels 
    1. The icon will display on people's phones.
    2. Do not put sponsor logos in this image.
    3. Do not add any gradients or masks to this image. Apple will create a gradient/masking effect automatically and your gradient/masks will become distorted.
    4. Dimensions: 1024 x 1024 pixels
  2. Google Play Feature Graphic - 1024 x 500 pixels
    1. This image is used by Google for display in the Google Play Store.
    2. Dimension: 1024 x 500 pixels
    3. Not Required for Container apps
  3. Conference's Banner Artwork -  750 x 300 pixels
    1. This image will be seen at the top of the home/lobby screen in the mobile app.
    2. Please note this artwork is also shared with your virtual conference attendee badge.
  4. Event Ribbon/ Large Home Feature Banner - 1200 x 200 pixels 
    1. Only for Multi-Event/Corporate Apps and Container Apps*
    *This only applies to apps that are multi-event or are using X-CD's container app. If you are unsure if this applies to you please reach out to your contact at X-CD.

Additional Artwork - Sponsorship & Advertising:

  1. Footer banner ads - can provide an unlimited amount - 1200 x 180 pixels
    1. You can have multiple banners ads, which will rotate for a set number of seconds
    2. Banner ads will link to the website of your sponsor's choice.
    3. Seen on:
      1. Attendee detail screen
      2. Attendee list
      3. Session list
      4. Session detail
      5. Exhibitor list
      6. Exhibitor detail
      7. Login screen
      8. Home screen
      9. Notifications’ screen
  2. Splash screen phone640 x 1136 pixels
    1. Splash screens cannot have an embedded URL.
  3. Splash Screen phone ad (x2) - 640 x 1136 pixels
    1. When the app is first loaded, a splash screen (or multiple splash screens) can appear. 
    2. Splash screens can display for 3-5 seconds each upon load of the app. 
    3. This is a good place for recognition of a keynote/mobile app sponsor. 
    4. Splash screens cannot have an embedded URL.
  4. Splash Screen tablet (x2) 1536 x 2008 pixels
    1. Splash screens cannot have an embedded URL.
  5. Lobby Ads - can provide an unlimited amount - 1200 x 180 pixels
    1. These can be shared with your virtual conference lobby ads or they can be different.
    2. Lobby ads will link to the website of your sponsor's choice.
  6. Left Menu Ads - can provide an unlimited amount - 1200 x 300 pixels 
    1. These images will rotate in the left menu in the app. 
    2. Left Menu ads will link to the website of your sponsor's choice.

What size of images and How do I upload my artwork?

  1. Click Dashboard
  2. Click Mobile App Management in the left side menu
    • If you do not see them menu item in the left side menu, click your Speaker module, then click Program button, the Mobile App menu item will appear in the horizontal menu
  3. If there is more than one app defined, select the app from the dropdown menu
  4. Click App Settings in the horizontal menu
  5. Select App Artwork
  6. Click Upload Image button for the image to be uploaded
  7. Select the file from the computer
  8. Repeat steps 6 - 7 for each image to upload
  9. There is "App Artwork" to upload AND there is "Module Artwork" to upload. You must upload BOTH in order for the app to be ready for submission.


Module Artwork - Splash screens, Attendee badge artwork

  1. Click Dashboard
  2. Click Mobile App Management in the left side menu
  3. If there is more than one app defined, select the app from the dropdown menu
  4. Click App Module Settings in the horizontal menu
  5. Select Module Artwork
  6. Click the Upload Image button for the image to be uploaded
    • NOTE: the Module Loading images are also know as the 'Splash Screen' images
  7. Select the file from the computer
  8. Repeat steps 6 - 7 for each image to upload


  1. Click Dashboard
  2. Click Event App below your conferences name 
  3. Click Module Settings in the yellow Get Ready Box
  4. Click Advertising from the left-hand menu
  5. Scroll to the Mobile App Footer Ads or Lobby Ads header
  6. Click Add in the respective (Mobile App Footer Ads or Lobby Ads) header
  7. Read the information provided.
  8. Upload a photo
  9. Provide a URL link for the footer ad. This will take a user that clicks on the ad to the provided URL.
  10. Provide an ad label 
  11. Repeat steps 6-10 for additional images.

Please note Skyscrapper and leaderboard ads are not available in the mobile app.
