Managing E-Commerce Store Products
Products are grouped into product categories. Typically, similar items are grouped together.
Examples of Products Categories include:
- Dues
- Subscriptions
- Merchandise
- Donations
Examples of products within a Dues Product Category:
- Regular Member Annual Fee
- Student Member Annual Fee
Examples of products within a Subscription Product Category:
- Journal ABC
- Journal XYZ
How to Add a Product Category?
- Click Dashboard
- Click E-Commerce tab
- Click Product Management icon
- Click Add Category button
- Enter a Category Label
- Click Save Changes button
How to Add a New Product?
- Click Dashboard
- Click E-Commerce tab
- Click Product Management icon
Click Add Product button
If the new product is for a Member Due:
For other products
- Complete the on-screen fields and ensure to select the appropriate Product Category
- Click Add Product button to save
- Next, add the product to the store front form, click Stores in the horizontal menu
- Click on the store name
- Click Settings
- Click Registration Setup
- Select Registration Fields
- Click Add New Field
- Select the field type
- Set the attributes on the field
- Click Add Field Options
- In Store Product field, select from the drop down list the newly added product
- Scroll down and Click Update Option
- Click Dashboard
- Click E-Commerce tab
- Click Product Management icon
- In the grid, locate and click on the row the product appears on to edit
- Update the field attributes on the Product
- Click Update Product to save changes
How to Edit a Product Label?
- Click Dashboard
- Click E-Commerce tab
- Click Product Management icon
- In the grid, locate and click on the row the product appears on to edit
- Update the Product Label
- Click Update Product to save changes
How to Edit a Product Price?
- Click Dashboard
- Click E-Commerce tab
- Click Product Management icon
- In the grid, locate and click on the row the product appears on to edit
- Update the Default Price
- Click Update Product
How to Remove a Product?
- Click Dashboard
- Click E-Commerce tab
- Click Product Management icon
- In the grid, locate and click on the row the product appears on to edit
- Update the Archive Product field to Yes
- Click Update Product
How to Add an Accounting Code to a Product?
- Click Dashboard
- Click E-Commerce tab
- Click Product Management icon
- In the grid, locate and click on the row the product appears on to edit
- In the External Product code field, enter your organization's accounting code
- Click Update Product to save changes
