FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: Can we live stream a session?

A: Yes. Your Speaker(s) and Moderator(s) will connect to an online meeting that will be broadcasted to the attendees through a streaming channel. The live streaming channel will be linked to a X-CD Zoom meeting account. The attendees do not login to the Zoom meeting account, attendees will open the Virtual Conference App to view the streams.

Q: Can we have live streaming for concurrent sessions?

A: Yes. Each session would have its own online meeting and own streaming channel. Attendees will connect to a session through the online program.

Q: How do attendees interact in the live session?

A: Attendees will access the content through the Virtual Conference Lobby and navigate to the Session they wish to attend. There is an ability for attendees to post questions, comments and tag likes to a previously posted question. The moderator will see all posts and can approve posts for all attendees to see and then ask the speaker the question(s) during the Live session. The Virtual Conference Lobby is a customized interface that you can brand and highlight conference sessions, and provide high-profile visibility for Sponsors.

Q: How do we control access to the program content?

A: If you are using X-CD's registration module, you may set controlled access through the purchased items on an attendee's registration. If you are using a third party registration software, the attendees may be imported in to X-CD to control access to the program. There is also a possibility of using an API to your registration system to control access.

Q: Can our speakers use the X-CD software to record their presentations?

A: Yes. Speakers will be able to record directly within X-CD which will link the recording to the presentation scheduled in your online program.

Q: Can our speakers record outside X-CD and upload their videos to X-CD?

A: Yes. Speakers may use third party software to record their presentations and then upload the video file into X-CD. We recommend uploading videos in .mp4 format

Q: Is there a way for our delegates to network?

A: Yes. We offer a series of virtual rooms where each room can be associated to a Topic and/or Person. Attendees can view the list of available rooms and choose a room to join. The purpose of these rooms is to allow individuals to openly and freely interact.
